Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

17801 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98158, USA

SeaTac (SEA) is the largest airport near Whidbey Island and most people fly into this airport. However, depending on your airline - Paine Field is in Everett or the Bellingham International Airport may be better options for you

When should I look into booking my flights?

Since July is peak summer travel season, we highly recommend setting up price alerts early to snag the best rates! Major legacy airlines (like Delta, American, United, and Alaska) generally release their flight schedules about 11 months in advance, so flights for our July 2027 date will start appearing around August or September 2026. Budget carriers like Southwest tend to release their flights in batches closer to 6 months out.

What is the best timeline to lock in a good ticket price?

Travel experts find that the financial sweet spot for booking domestic summer flights is usually 2 to 4 months before departure, while international routes tend to hit their best pricing 6 to 8 months out. We suggest tracking our date on Google Flights or your favorite way to do so now so you can jump on a great deal the moment prices dip!

Whidbey SeaTac Shuttle & Charter

639 Industrial Ave, Oak Harbor, WA 98277, USA
(360) 679-4003

To get to the island without a car - the Whidbey SeaTac shuttle runs directly from SeaTac to Oak Harbor. It's about 60 dollars one way and a reservation in advance is required.

Book the Oak Harbor stop and let us know - we'll arrange a ride from the spot to your hotel and to your hotel to the venue

How do I get to Whidbey Island?

There are two ways to get from the main land to the island - taking the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry and driving up the island or driving I-5 and Highway 20 and Deception Pass Bridge to get to Oak Harbor. For the ferry: Please keep in mind ferry logistics! Ferries don't take reservations for vehicles, wait times can be significant in summer, foot passenger vs. driving considerations, and travel time (about 20 minutes to cross, about an hour drive north)

Do I need a car?

While there will be some transportation available via Lisa's family, we do recommend renting a car if you would like the easiest way to get around the island. Public transit on the island is limited and rideshare availability is often not reliable. Lisa has, however, volunteered many of her family members to drive about
